WWOOFing a new home in Annapolis Digby

j0437208_copyIt all started in the UK in 1971.  World Wide Opportunities to Work on Organic Farms, or WWOOF as it's commonly called, is an international movement that is helping people to share more sustainable ways of living.

Simply put, WWOOF is an exchange.  In return for volunteer help, WWOOF hosts offer food, accommodation and opportunities to learn about organic lifestyles.  WWOOF organisations link people who want to volunteer on organic farms or small holdings with people who are looking for volunteer help.

Vacationing and volunteering on an organic farm is a wonderful way to broaden your education and experience.  In fact, WWOOFing has become a practical and inexpensive way to find a new home abroad, especially if you're interested in investing in farm real estate.
