Vineyard Announces Label Design Contest

Annapolis Highland Vineyards is inviting Nova Scotian artists to enter their artwork into a contest for their winery's 2010 vintage label designs.

The winning works of art will be reproduced on the labels of Annapolis Highlands' wines. Each variety of wine will have a different work of art on its label so there will be at least six winners of this contest.

All entries must be received before December 1, 2010.

The winning artwork will be displayed on Annapolis Highlands’ 2010 vintage labels which will be released in 2011. The timing of the contest is important as 2011 will be the 400th anniversary of grape vines being planted in North America.

The first vines were planted in the Bear River area where Annapolis Highland Vineyards is located. This will be a great way to celebrate this special anniversary by partnering their wines with the Nova Scotia artist communities.

Artists interested in entering the contest are encouraged to contact Karen Enright at (902) 467-0917, or karen.enright@ns.sympatico.ca for further details.

Annapolis Highland Vineyards is a boutique winery located in Bear River East, Nova Scotia, and has won six medals, including four from the 2010 All Canadian Wine Competition, since opening its doors in June, 2009.
