ADEDA Briefs ACOA Minister

The importance of the Fundy ferry service and port infrastructure improvements for Digby were among the key points made by ADEDA’s Managing Director Mike Gushue in his presentation to the federal Minister for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), the Honourable Keith Ashfield, on Wednesday. The briefing session was held at the Digby ferry terminal. Also attending the session were Jim Thurber, the Chair of the Bay OF Fundy Transportation Coalition; Acting Warden for Digby Municipality, Jim McAlpine; Digby Mayor Ben Cleveland; and Reg Hazelton, Sherman Haynes and Jeff Sunderland of the Digby Harbour Port Association. The Minister was accompanied by our Member of Parliament for West Nova, Greg Kerr, and they met with a number of community groups during a busy visit to the area
