Marking the Wilderness Trail

The Warden of the Municipality of Annapolis, Peter Newton, along with Council and Staff, has invited the public to attend the 25th Anniversary of the Delaps Cove Wilderness Trail.

The event will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the trail site located at  2077 Shore Road West, Delaps Cove.

The festivities begin at 1pm with a Walk with Nature, a guided walk with the Annapolis Field Naturalists.

The Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve Association will also be on hand with kid’s activities involving planting a “butterfly garden”.

The official Anniversary Celebrations are scheduled for 3pm, and will include:

• An official welcome by Warden Peter Newton
• Smudging Ceremony
• Plaque Unveiling
• Presentation to Bowater Mersey
• Presentation to Annapolis Field Naturalists
• Cake Cutting & Refreshments
