Low on gas and still 25 minutes from home one night, I stopped by a gas station in Granville Ferry to fill up. Incredibly, I'd racked up over fifty dollars worth -- prices were at their peak. I headed inside to pay. Reaching into my purse, I suddenly broke into a cold sweat -- no wallet! A vision of it on my entry-way table flashed through my mind. I feebly explained to the young girl behind the counter that I had no way to pay the bill.
"No problem, I'll just write you an invoice and you can pay it next time."
I WAS STUNNED.
